Silvana Imam has been the talk of the town for a little while now, with I.M.A.M even being named song of the year in some quarters. It can be hard as a non-native speaker to truly appreciate foreign language rap music but here she’s teamed up with one of our favourite new Swedish pop stars, Marlene. Opening with military beats and Marlene’s sweet tones softens the unfamiliarity of the Swedish rapping from Silvana and the whole thing reminds us a little of something off Angel Haze’s underrated album. It’s certainly made us reevaluate our opinion of Silvana Imam and we’re now quite excited to see what comes next from her. Listen over at Musikguiden i P3.
