Tove Styrke – Ego

It’s barely been a few weeks since Tove released her Borderline EP, but she’s clearly not hanging around as here’s another new single already. And while we liked the EP, especially that one with the very long title, this is better than most of the tracks on it – mainly because it falls further from the reggae label that weighed that release down at times. So Ego is the lead single of her first international album, Kiddo, and while produced by popular Swedish dance legend Familjen, it’s a more straightforward but extremely well polished and catchy pop song about losing someone to their ego. Tove tells us to look out for the cello in the final chorus – good advice, we say.

Updated: Now comes complete with a Lost in Translation inspired Japanese video.
